What we collect
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. The contact drafting tool runs only in your browser; text you type there is not sent to us or stored on any server.
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and the content of your message.
Why we use it
We use emails only to read and reply to your query and, where you suggest a correction, to improve the guide. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to correspondence.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for no longer than needed to deal with it, normally up to 12 months, then delete it.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your data. Our email and hosting providers process data on our behalf only to deliver those services.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Email us to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This guide is written for adults planning trips. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
